On April 14th 2023 all credit card schemes are changing decimals for currency ISK (Icelandic Króna) from 2 to 0 decimals!

This means:

• before April 12th 2023: price is 495,00 ISK and sent as amount=49500
• after April 16th 2023: price is 495 ISK and sent as amount=495

The advise is:

• stop authorization of new payments on April 12th 2023 and start new authorizations not before April 16th 2023
• stop settlements (i.e. capture/refund) on April 13th 2023 for authorizations before April 12th 2023 and continue settlements (i.e. capture/refund) on April 17th 2023 for authorizations after April 16th 2023
• do not capture / refund existing payments after April 17th 2023 which have been authorized/started before April 12th 2023

Please note that Visa demands new mandatory fields for 3-D Secure transactions starting August 12, 2024. We recommend you implement the changes early on to be prepared. If you have any problems with the changeover, please contact our Merchant Services in good time.
